Libby Prison, Richmond Virginia
Postcard Credits: Southern Bargin House
The Libby Prison, imprisoned thousands of Union Officers during the Civil War.
The building was dismantled and re-erected in Chicago, in 1898 for an exhibition purpose for the Worlds Fair and was left standing there. This is a lithographic photo.  I am not sure of what year it was taken, sometime prior to 1898.  The postcard is not dated.
